This golden-tan canvas jacket takes the straightforward shape and useful storage of a classic chore coat. The contrast corduroy collar and heavyweight cotton body give it enough character to stand alone without relying on decorative graphics.

Fit

The jacket has a boxy, straight body with a regular length and generous room through the chest. It is designed to sit away from the body rather than follow a slim outline, making it suitable for wearing over a shirt, sweatshirt or light knit.

This is a drop-shoulder jacket, so the shoulder seam is designed to extend past the natural shoulder. This accounts for the wide shoulder and shorter sleeve measurements in the size guide. If your arms are longer in proportion to your torso, you may need to size up.

Fabric

The body uses 440 gsm, approximately 13 oz, 100% cotton canvas with a dense, visibly textured weave. The washed finish softens the surface, while the soft brown corduroy collar adds contrast and makes the jacket especially comfortable around the neck.

Construction

A five-button front and four external patch pockets give it the practical layout of a classic chore coat. Adjustable cuffs have corduroy tabs and two button positions, while metal rivet-style reinforcements strengthen the pocket corners.

Details

Maden-branded hardware provides a restrained finishing detail. The golden-tan canvas and brown collar do most of the visual work, making this an easy outer layer over denim, flannel or a plain T-shirt.

Sizing

The size names shown on this website have been standardised to US labels. The jacket retains its original manufacturer label, so the size printed inside the garment will be two sizes larger than the size ordered. For example, selecting S (US) will send an L-labelled garment. This is expected and does not mean the wrong size was sent.
