This 15 oz selvedge jacket has been sanforised and given one wash, taking some of the initial stiffness out of the cloth while keeping the dense feel and structure that make a heavyweight denim jacket interesting. The short body and four-pocket front give it a compact trucker-style shape without following a strict Type III pattern.
Fit
The cut is fitted through the shoulders and chest, with a short body intended to finish around the waistband rather than cover the hips. The cuffs are also narrow, which is worth checking if you have larger wrists, wear a substantial watch or plan to layer the jacket over a flannel shirt. Choose from the garment measurements rather than the sewn size label alone.
Fabric
The 15 oz, approximately 509 gsm, cloth is 100% cotton selvedge denim. Sanforisation and the initial wash give it a more approachable starting hand than rigid loomstate denim, while the weight still holds the collar, yoke and pocket structure clearly.
Construction
The jacket uses a point collar, straight front yoke, button front, two flap chest pockets and two angled lower hand pockets. Button cuffs and rear hem adjusters complete the familiar trucker-style construction. Redline selvedge runs along the inside of the front placket, while orange topstitching gives definition to the blue denim.
