Maden created these jeans to mark its ninth anniversary, using crimson as something that runs through the pair rather than simply sitting on the surface. It appears in the red-cast indigo denim, the selvedge ID and the leather details at the waist.

The result is distinctive without being loud. From a distance, they remain a clean pair of dark raw jeans. The crimson details reveal themselves more gradually, particularly when the hem is cuffed and as the denim begins to record the way it is worn.

Fit

The jeans have a mid rise and a slim straight leg with a gentle taper towards the hem. The shape sits neatly through the seat and thigh without narrowing into a skinny fit.

The unsanforised raw selvedge denim weighs 10.9 oz, approximately 370 gsm. It has enough weight to hold a clean shape while remaining more approachable than a heavy denim that demands a long break-in.

Crimson yarn gives the dark indigo a warmer red cast. The jeans arrive without artificial fading or distressing, leaving the creases and wear patterns to develop naturally over time.

Sizing and Shrinkage

Order your usual tagged waist size. The denim is unsanforised and will shrink during its first soak, but the garment dimensions already allow for the expected shrinkage. There is no need to size up solely because the denim is unsanforised.

Choose one size larger only if you prefer a looser fit through the waist, seat and thigh.

Care

Soak separately before first wear in water no warmer than 30°C. Some shrinkage and indigo loss are expected. Continue to wash separately from light colours.
